A Day of Departures on October 28 Days of Our Lives

While Vivian, Ivan, and Philip returned to Salem, there were also characters saying goodbye or forced to say goodbye. Sorry, Stefan!

Salem’s population keeps increasing and decreasing at a feverish pace. Rafe and Gabi’s cousin Javi arrived and scored a place to stay and a job. Philip immediately changed the name of the game at the Kiriakis mansion. And Vivian, who loves being in cahoots, teamed up with Ivan and Philip for different reasons. On the flip side, in the Monday, October 28 episode of Days of Our Lives, there were also a few characters bidding goodbye to Salem in very different ways.

Goodbye, Salem

Stefan

Stefan (an exiting Brandon Barash) poured his heart out to the portrait of Stefano, and at the end of this one-sided discussion, he decided to fight for Gabi (Cherie Jimenez). He was still in love with her and no longer wanted to divorce her.

Too bad for him, that’s when a mystery man snuck up behind him and rendered Stefan unconscious. Said mystery man turned out to be Ivan (Ivan G’Vera). He kidnapped Stefan on Vivian’s orders. The reason? Vivian (Louise Sorel) didn’t want him anywhere near Gabi Hernandez. With Ivan doing the heavy lifting, Stefan’s mom forced him out of town in the trunk of a car. Ivan and Stefan’s destination? Alamainia.

Getting Stefan there is proving to be easy. But what’s going to keep him there?

Fiona

Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) faced off with Fiona (Serena Scott Thomas) in the middle of Horton Town Square as her mother-in-law publicly drank a martini (and didn’t eat the blue cheese olives!). Sarah couldn’t believe the woman wasn’t in jail. But Fiona explained how Sarah made her freedom possible.

For most of the conversation, Fiona was downright sarcastic, flippant, and rude. But she eventually showed some vulnerability and self-awareness of how she ruined everything…again. In the end, she gave Sarah a note to give to Xander (Paul Telfer). In it, she told her son she was proud of the man he’s become. However, the first bit of news in that letter said she was leaving town.

Is this a permanent exit for Fiona? Or will she be back to wreak havoc in the future?

Eric

Eric (Greg Vaughan) isn’t gone just yet, but he did get in some brother bonding before leaving town. He visited with Brady (Eric Martsolf) and talked about Brady’s state of mind now that he knows he didn’t drive drunk and mow Sarah down with his car.

Brady still felt a lot of guilt because if it weren’t for his drinking, Fiona wouldn’t have had to drive his car. But Eric insisted that Brady needed to stop beating himself. Actually, Brady was beyond grateful that his brother traveled to Salem to support him and, ultimately, save him. After all, if it weren’t for him, Brady wouldn’t still be in jail.

When Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) arrived, Eric said he had to go and pack, meaning his recent visit was coming to an end. Teasers say that Holly forgives Eric, so it looks like he has at least one more conversation in him before he leaves town and heads back to Nicole (Arianne Zucker) and Jude (Oliver McLarty) in Paris. Let’s hope Eric returns someday soon.
