Rafe finally wakes up from his coma, which means an added layer of chaos is dropped on Connie’s plate. And it couldn’t happen to a more deserving woman. In the Wednesday, September 11 episode of Days of Our Lives, Connie learned she can’t control people’s feelings, no matter how hard she attempts to manipulate them.
The Unraveling
Added Chaos Layer #1: Rafe Wakes Up from His Coma
After Paulina (Jackée Harry) ordered Rafe (Galen Gering) to wake up from his two-month coma, he did just that. And here’s why that means loads of trouble for Connie (Julie Dove). Currently, she thinks everything is good because he didn’t see her. After all, she stabbed him in the back. Unfortunately for her, she has an unforgettable voice. It may take a while for Rafe to put a face to his memory of Connie saying, “Looks like that open grave was the least of your worries.” But he will eventually do so because of her unique voice.

Added Chaos Layer #2: Stephanie’s Confusion Over Everett’s “Friend” Connie
Stephanie (Abigail Klein) still can’t stop discussing Everett (Blake Berris). You can tell she wants his life to mean something, to have some sort of legacy, but she could barely populate his memorial service. This is why she went the extra mile to track down Connie. Once she did, Connie emphatically told her she didn’t know who Everett was. Now, Stephanie’s curiosity has been triggered. And she doesn’t usually let go of things that confuse her.
Added Chaos Later #3: Connie Can’t Kill Melinda Trask
How long has Melinda (Tina Huang) been tied up to that bed? It seems like forever already. The thing is that she’s safe for now because Spirit Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) told Connie she can’t kill Melinda. So, how will Connie deal with Melinda? She can’t keep her hostage forever. Plus, she’s somebody Connie can bounce ideas off of — a captive audience, if you will. The longer this goes on, the harder it’ll be for a kook like Connie to stab, poison, or Misery her out of existence.
Added Chaos Layer #4: Connie Manipulating Gabi Doesn’t Have the Desired Results
Yes, Connie manipulated Gabi (Cherie Jimenez — here’s how she’s doing) to stick it to Stefan (Brandon Barash). As a result, Gabi slept with EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel). However, any bonus points were taken away when Gabi admitted to her that she might keep EJ around. Gabi didn’t look miserable at all. She actually looked on top of things. And then to get the news that her brother woke up from his coma? Gabi is currently on Cloud 9, which won’t work for Connie. So she keeps carrying that knife around, looking to stab someone, anyone at this point.
Gabi’s unwillingness to play into Connie’s schemes really started the unraveling in this episode. And this may mean the beginning of the end of the kookie, quirky killer and kidnapper. Undoubtedly, she’ll continue to veer out of control and ultimately make a big mistake she won’t be able to come back from, right?
Who do you think will ultimately cause the most chaos for Connie? And who will be the one to bring her down permanently? Also, we haven’t seen much yet, but does Rafe seem off to you? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
