In the grand scheme of things, Connie’s homemade bomb barely made a dent. One of the dungeon’s secret rooms will need a little renovation. Other than that, the bomb may have been more effective in inflicting lasting emotional damage.
Two DiMera Heroes, No Waiting
EJ’s Heroics
Connie’s (Julie Dove) final plan ended with her facing arrest, thanks to Jada (Elia Cantu). The real news was that two dastardly DiMeras got the chance to play heroes. (Check out the latest DAYS Comings & Goings)
First, EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) found the bloody poker at the DiMera mansion. And ultimately, he got to Melinda (Tina Huang) and Gabi (Cherie Jimenez). Unfortunately, he didn’t get there in time. He arrived after the bomb exploded. Fortunately, the bomb wasn’t very strong — it brought down some of the ceiling and caused lots of smoke.

EJ’s heroics included digging Gabi out of the rubble, carrying her out the door, and getting her to the hospital straight away. A bruised and battered Ms. Hernandez quickly woke up to see EJ sitting by her side. In fact, he had told Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) he wasn’t going anywhere until he knew Gabi was okay.
Gabi was grateful and scared as she processed what had just happened. She looked at EJ and told him he had saved her life. At one point, the two held hands. It was a surprisingly touching moment, and we’re going to keep an eye on it. Will the connection between Gabi and EJ grow into something more? Maybe these two can at least be friendly from here on out.

Stefan DiMera
After Connie caused the chaos at the DiMera mansion, she rushed over to Ava’s (Tamara Braun) apartment, where she ranted and raved as only Connie could.
For some reason, she had a real problem with Ava blabbing about her fraudulent resume. However, she ultimately had a bigger beef with Stefan (Brandon Barash), who perfectly timed his arrival at Ava’s place. Connie’s Li Shen (Remington Hoffman) obsession was revealed, and Stefan took advantage of that vulnerability to distract her.
He went off on his former nemesis, and it worked. Connie had been holding a knife to Ava’s neck, but she ended up rushing Stefan and stabbing him. Although, it looked like it was simply a flesh wound.

After Connie ran off, Ava attempted to take care of Stefan. And then she looked at him and said those words, “You saved my life.” Will the two continue to get closer? On top of that, will Ava actually go back to work at The Bistro with Stefan?
Are these pairings about to change? Will Ava and Stefan make a go at it for real? And will Gabi and EJ become followers of the “enemies to lovers” trope? Because these two have done awful things to each other. Plus, they have said some awful things to each other. (Have fun with Ashley Puzemis and Leo Howard in the DAYS hot seat)
