Big news for Bo and Hope fans on Days of our Lives. Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso are headed back to Salem.
TV Insider broke the news that Reckell and Alfonso will return to DAYS. The actors are back on set filming. Of course, given that the Peacock soap opera films so far ahead, their storyline won’t air until May 2025. The return is part of the special storylines planned for DAYS 60th anniversary next year.
This supercouple has appeared off and on on DAYS over the past four decades. It’s been a while since they’ve been in Salem, though. The last time Reckell and Alfonso were there together was in April 2023.
Viewers will remember that Shawn (Brandon Beamer) shot Bo, and he was in a coma. How will Bo appear more than two years later? It should be an interesting storyline.
Alfonso filmed scenes in April of this year as Hope and the rest of Salem said goodbye to Doug Williams (Bill Hayes). These scenes aren’t set to air until early December 2024. Hayes passed away on January 12, 2024, at the age of 98, and his memorial service was in February.
Of his return to set and the character of Bo, Reckell said, “Just like riding a bike. And thank goodness they keep one at the ready for me in Salem. This ride is one we know the fans are really going to love. Stay tuned!”
“There is a saying I love: ‘Life takes you to unexpected places but love always brings you home,’” Alfonso said. “Anyone who knows me knows how grateful I am to have all of you supporting me and welcoming me back when I’m back in Salem. These episodes with Pete will not disappoint.”
It sounds like 2025 is going to be an exciting year on DAYS. what do you hope to see from Bo and Hope?
