Days of Our Lives’ Cherie Jimenez Gives Details On Her New Gig

Cherie Jimenez has slipped right into the role of Gabi on Days of Our Lives and made it her own. While Gabi’s romance with Stefan has hit a major stumbling block, the two still have feelings for each other. They will probably end up together again…eventually. Jimenez, meanwhile, continues to keep busy outside of the show. She recently announced a new project of hers on social media. 

An Important Tale

On Instagram, Jimenez wrote, “GUNS & MOSES • 🎞️📽️ Proud & honored to be part of telling this incredibly important story with a dream cast & crew portraying the Beautiful Paulina Rosner 💋.” She described the film’s plot as “A beloved small-town Rabbi becomes an unlikely gunslinger after his community is violently attacked.” 

Jimenez further noted the importance of the film, explaining, “An important story of rising up to antisemitism, which is sadly more relevant than ever. Thank you @accidentaltalmudist & Nina for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime in your incredible film ✡️💙 Our movie premiered @lajewishfilmfestival last week & I am so proud, grateful & excited to share it with the world. We made an amazing movie 🎬 Coming soon… 🍿✨.”

Character Actors Galore

In her post, Jimenez included several photos from the film’s premiere at The Los Angeles Jewish Film Festival, including one with Guns & Moses director Salvador Litvak (Saving Lincoln,2013).  The movie is also chock full of character actors like fan favorite Neal McDonough, who’s well-known for playing Damien Darhk on the hit CW series The Flash, Dermot Mulroney (Young Guns, 1988, Chicago Fire), and the venerable Christopher Lloyd, whose iconic film roles are numerous and include the Back to the Future trilogy and Addams Family movies, just to name a scant few. Her DAYS co-star Brandon Barash (Stefan) responded with several applause emojis, while Tamara Braun (Ava) wrote, “Please lmk where I can support. Congrats beautiful!” Jimenez replied with, “@tamarabraun Aw thank you beautiful ♥️🙏🏽 Will do!” The fans were so excited for the film that one tagged another, writing, “We have to get this movie on the film circuit here in NY!”
