The Fake Abigail era finally came to an end. It seems like we’ll get Chad back in dark mode in the next chapter of this story. After all, Chad promised payback In the October 21 episode of Days of Our Lives. So Cat, Mark, and hopefully Clyde Weston will need to watch their backs.

Buh Bye, Fake Abigail

“What I do know is that you and your brother committed an incredibly cruel fraud against anyone who’s ever loved Abby. And it is for that, that I will make you pay.”

Chad (Billy Flynn) and Fake Abigail (AnnaLynne McCord) had some hashing out to do. Chad explained why he seemingly fell hook, line, and sinker for her act. Obviously, he wanted it to be true. Also, he kept thinking about the DNA test that proved conclusively that she was Abby. Even when things felt off, his mind kept going back to that.

On her part, she attempted to get him to realize that this fraud she perpetrated wasn’t her idea. In fact, she didn’t want any part of it. But in the process, she did develop feelings for him…real feelings. She couldn’t help it because he was such a great guy in every way. But Chad wanted nothing to do with her so-called feelings. He didn’t trust anything she said for viable reasons.

The Payback Chapter

So, how will Chad work to ensure that Mark (Jonah Robinson) and Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) pay for making him have to mourn Abby all over again? Will he go into Full DiMera mode? Will the payback happen outside the boundaries of the law? Or will he work to make sure Cat and Mark legally pay for what they did?

This payback better include getting back at Clyde (James Read) and making sure he permanently becomes a non-factor in Salem from here on out. Maybe Chad can manipulate Cat and Mark into turning on Clyde even though the man allegedly holds their mom hostage.

Clyde needs to live the rest of his life in prison isolation. He needs to be watched by guards incapable of being bribed or leveraged. Send him to a black ops site where people check in and never check out. That exists, right?

Hello, Cat Greene

With the Fake Abigail persona dropped, now Cat can be Cat, whoever that is. Yes, she is the daughter of Catherina, Konstantin’s daughter and the woman John reportedly killed. Well, her death seems to have been greatly exaggerated. And with Konstantin (John Kapelos) dead and John (the late Drake Hogestyn) on a trip with his dad in Baton Rouge, how will this Catherina story play out?

How will they make Catherina and Cat relevant to what’s going on in Salem? Something that should happen is discovering who Cat is and more of her family’s backstory.

AnnaLynne McCord recently told TV Insider about creating Cat from scratch. Doing that allowed her more freedom, and “you get to really experience Cat, her dynamic with her family, and what her siblings mean to her.” She also said this character can maybe “bring a little lightness and joy” because “she gets to use humor as her outlet.”

Now that Fake Abigail is over, how do you think Chad will get his payback? And knowing that Cat has feelings for him, will he be able to shove that aside and get proper revenge? In other news, what did you think about Brady (Eric Martsolf) forgiving Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) and Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) changing the quo part of the quid pro quo? Let us know in the comments.
