Days of Our Lives is about to celebrate its 59th anniversary on November 8, 2024, and the soap just got some exciting news to kick off the celebration.
Fans are about to catch their favorite stars from Salem at Day of Days in Los Angeles on November 2, less than a week before DAYS’ 59th anniversary. If that wasn’t enough reason to celebrate, it was just announced that the soap has been renewed for a 61st season on Peacock.
DAYS originally aired on NBC from 1965 until 2022 when it switched over to NBC’s streaming platform Peacock. The Soap has aired three seasons on Peacock, as well as two seasons of its series Beyond Salem and the 2021 Christmas movie, A Very Salem Christmas.
DAYS has big plans as it enters its sixth decade. The celebration begins on November 8 when Martha Madison (Belle) and Christopher Sean (Paul) return to Salem. The famous fictional town will later see the return of Melissa Reeves (Jennifer), who will be back to celebrate the show’s 15,000th episode on December 2.
But the festivities won’t stop there. DAYS recently revealed a slew of returns happening in 2025, starting with alum like Alison Sweeney (Sami), Kristian Alfonso (Hope), and Peter Reckell (Bo). Joining the beloved actors will be Chandler Massey (Will), Ciara (Victoria Konefal), Charles Shaughnessy (Shane), Matthew Ashford (Jack), Christie Clark (Carrie), Leann Hunley (Anna), and Thaao Penghlis (Tony).
