Days of our Lives has a recast boom looming that fans may or may not be aware of. A couple were big news while others went under the radar until recently.

Key Takeaways

  • The Chad switch will happen soon.
  • A new Javi is on the horizon.
  • Other recasts are coming to DAYS.

The Recasts DAYS Fans Knew About

It’s no secret that Chad (Billy Flynn) will have a new face soon. Flynn exited the role last spring to join The Young and the Restless as Cane.

Soon after Flynn debuted on the CBS soap, it was announced that Y&R’s Conner Floyd (Chance) was taking over the role of Chad on DAYS. Floyd began filming in late June and is slated to debut in April 2026.

Al Calderon (Javi) exited the Peacock soap last summer after booking the role of Scotty Silva on Brilliant Minds. Javi has been recast. The new actor, whose name has yet to be announced, is set to begin airing in late May or early June.

Cary Christopher (Thomas) confirmed in October that he had left the role of Thomas several months before, after landing a role on an Amazon series. Christopher didn’t name the series or his final date on DAYS.

In a preview for 2026, DAYS co-head writers Paula Cwikly and Jeanne Marie Ford did not address Christopher leaving or address a recast, but they did confirm Floyd’s start and a couple of other recasts.

Two More Recasts Coming This Spring

It should come as no surprise that a new Rachel (Alice Halsey) will debut in March. Halsey has been killing it as Rachel after debuting in the role in February 2025. Soon after, though, Halsey was cast in AppleTV+’s Little House on the Prairie reboot as Laura Ingalls.

The writers also revealed that the role of Gabi’s (Cherie Jimenez) daughter, Ari (Marissa Reyes), has been recast. Reyes brought a grown-up Ari to Salem last May. However, in April 2026, Ari will have a few faces.

Neither Ford nor Cwikly revealed who will be taking over the role of Rachel or Ari at this time.

Those are just the recasts we are aware of. This is DAYS, though, so more casting changes may be coming that we are unaware of right now.
