The Days of Our Lives Cast Hits New Jersey

It was off to the races with some of your favorite cast members from Days of Our Lives this past weekend at a special appearance.

DAYS’ Matthew Ashford (Jack), Julie Dove (Connie), Judi Evans (Bonnie), Linsey Godfrey (Sarah), Remington Hoffman (Li), Cherie Jimenez (Gabi), and Paul Telfer (Xander) took part in a weekend of personal appearances, courtesy of Star Struck Fan Events, which is run by Paul Barotti and Keith Holley.

Fans were treated to breakfast in the morning with the actors, then a meet and greet. In the evening the cast and fans had dinner and watched the horses race. Sunday capped the weekend off with a farewell breakfast. The cast weighs in below about the experience.

Bryan: How has it been meeting the fans today?

Cherie: Everyone is being so kind and showing me so much support, that I feel so full.

Bryan: What are the fans chatting with you most about?

Cherie: [They are] loving the fact that I have taken this role and just made it my own. That’s been really cool because coming in as a recast is already so difficult, but I appreciate that so much because people have chosen to give me a chance and to allow me to kind of grow within this character.”

Matthew Ashford weighed in as well. “It is a pleasure to reconnect with old friends on the East Coast, some of whom know me from Search For Tomorrow (Cagney) or my first time on One Life To Live (Drew) when I was just starting [off in] this business. It is such a blessing that I got to connect with [the fans]. These events are like old home week for sure.”

Remington Hoffman may no longer be on the show, but he loved the opportunity to spend some quality time with the fans, many of whom miss the actor on the canvas. “It’s the best compliment ever for them to care about my character, and [they] hope that I come back. Everyone [is] talking to me about the different ways in which I could come back, and that just it warms my heart,” enthused Hoffman.
