Big Summer Returns Set for Days of Our Lives

No, Summer herself isn’t returning (sorry Marie Wilson!) to “Days of Our Lives,” but you’ll soon see other returns, according to the Jason 47 DAYS website.

This good news will have to keep fans happy during the long two weeks when the Summer Olympics remove the soap from the daily lineup. Yes, you won’t see your Salem faves from August 5-22.

Mother Knows Best
It looks like Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) will be getting some motherly guidance from Laura when Jaime Lyn Bauer comes back to Salem. The soap vet stepped into Laura’s heels for the first time back in 1993, but we haven’t seen her much since Alice’s (Frances Reid) death.

Considering how much turmoil her daughter Jennifer is going through due to Abigail’s disappearance and the custody battle with Chad for Thomas, it’s no wonder Laura needs to visit. Don’t forget that her nemesis Kate (Lauren Koslow) is still around, so there’s are sure to be some fireworks!

Ghost of a Chance
It seems we’ll also see the ghost of dads past in the form of Matthew Ashford’s Jack, according to the Jason 47 DAYS Website. Apparently, Jennifer could use all the support she can get.

Perhaps her dead husband could lend some ghostly guidance and point her in the right direction. Could he maybe let her know their daughter will return (in the form of Marci Miller this fall)?

Deadbeat Dad
The Jason47 DAYS Website also reports that James Read will be reprise to his role as Clyde Weston. Since his son Batty Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) used to work at Club TBD, which seems to be getting primed for a big story, it’s not too surprising Clyde would show up like the bad penny he is.

Club TBD is now owned by Eduardo (A Martinez), Dario (Jordi Vilasuso) will be working there and soon Sonny (Freddie Smith) returns. We could easily see Clyde wanting a piece of the action or pulling some strings. Kate is also still around. Could his former flame be looking for some more payback for his past abuse?
