Are Rafe and Jada Headed for Trouble After the December 9 Days of Our Lives?

It was a Body & Soul type of day on the Monday, December 9 episode of Days of Our Lives. Apparently, the fake Lady Whistleblower has access to everything Leo’s ever written for the soap reboot because the spoilers keep getting spoiled. It’s so bad Leo demands some face time with Rafe, the private eye he hired to find out the identity of the spoiler spiller. As Javi had predicted, Rafe and Jada’s cases are about to collide, creating instant conflict.

Rules of Engagement

After Rafe’s last-minute meeting with Leo (Greg Rikaart), he and Jada talk. It turns out Jada does take issue with Rafe’s case and subsequent investigation. She mentions how she already has an APB out for Hattie Adams (Deidre Hall) for the cupcake incident that caused several people to get sick.

Meanwhile, Rafe’s first Black Patch case concerns a fake whistleblower, whom he suspects is Hattie Adams. Jada (Elia Cantu) feels that if Rafe (Galen Gering) tracks Hattie down first, he’ll spook her off. So they don’t exactly make a bet, but they do shake on the words, “May the best investigator win.” These two are definitely competitive people.

It was a fun back-and-forth banter, although, as police commissioner, Jada wanted Rafe to let her take the lead in finding Hattie. Then came Rafe’s comment that Jada may not like that Mayor Price (Jackée Harry) could think he’ll do a better job finding Hattie. That was a little triggering. It felt like Rafe’s pride was acting up again. However, we don’t blame him because being demoted isn’t a pleasant experience. It wears on your self-esteem.

Ultimately, we think that both Rafe and Jada are hunting down the wrong suspect. Do they really think Hattie could pull off the technical know-how to steal spoilers? Well, maybe if she had help. Which one do you think will figure that out first? Rafe, the private detective, or Jada, the police commissioner?

And how will these conflicting cases affect their relationship and, more importantly, their engagement?
