It’s Tuesday, April 1, but Days of our Lives star Tamara Braun says it’s no April Fools joke that this is Ava’s last week on the Peacock soap.

No Joke?
Braun shared a highlight video to Instagram. Her caption read, “I wish this was an April Fool’s Joke but it’s not. This is Ava’s last week on Days. Last couple of days really. Sad but true. I’ve been gone since late July of last year but you can still catch Ava on your screens until April 3rd!
“I miss being with my Days pals,” she continued. “They are a really good group of caring individuals and being with them was a joy. Thanks for all the #love #kindness and #support during Ava’s latest Salem stint. 🩷 dool aprilfoolsday notaprilfoolsjoke solong dool missyouall”
DAYS alum, Julie Dove (Connie) replied, “Love you [Tamara Braun] thank you for love and support during my run. You are so talented and so kind. I’m so glad I got to work with you.”
Beyond The Gates star and DAYS alum Mike Manning (Smitty, BTG) replied, “You were and are a beautiful light on and off the show. That wont [sic] change. ✨”
Kennedy Garcia (Felicity) wrote, ” 😢😢 I hope we run into each other on another set someday soon 💜💜.”
Hundreds of fans replied to Brauns’ unexpected announcement, with many expressing that they will miss her portrayal of Ava.
It looks like viewers won’t have to wait long to see how Ava exits the canvas since it’s coming this week. DAYS’ spoilers don’t give much of a hint. During Tuesday’s episode of DAYS, Brady (Eric Martsolf) explained to Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) how he and Ava broke up. Too much had gone on between them, and the writing was on the wall after she couldn’t press charges against Rachel Blake (Roslyn Gentle), Kristen, and EJ (Dan Feuerrigel) for her kidnapping.
Again, according to the actress, she has not been on DAYS since last July, and her final appearance will be Thursday, April 3.
Braun has played a couple of roles on DAYS. First, she played Nicole’s (Arianne Zucker) sister, Taylor Walker, in 2011. The show brought her back in 2015 as a new character, mafia princess Ava Vitali. She exited the villainous role in 2016, and then she reprised it again in 2020 and has starred as a kinder, gentler Ava ever since.
Braun was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for Lead Actress in a Daytime Series last year and in the supporting category in 2021.
So far, the actress hasn’t revealed what’s next for her. Soap Hub will bring you the latest updates on where she lands when we learn them. We will miss Braun on the Peacock soap opera.
