In the Monday, April 21 episode of Days of Our Lives, the fallout from Vivian blabbing the truth to Xander continued. Susan visited EJ, and Kate and Rex discussed Roman in the context of EJ’s attempted murder.

Silent Act

Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) got through yet another episode without Xander (Paul Telfer) knowing that she kept Philip’s forged letter a secret for months. Meanwhile, Xander guessed Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) and Stephanie (Abigail Klein) knew and neglected to tell him. They had to think quickly and defend themselves, but didn’t throw Sarah under the bus even after Xander almost fired Alex.

Apparently, they are still afraid of how Xander will react should he find out about Sarah’s betrayal. They don’t think he can handle one more. Even though he found out about Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier), Alex, and Stephanie lying to him, and while he’s rightfully furious, he hasn’t come close to doing anything physically harmful to anyone. This is a bit odd, by the way. Did he actually learn something from the last time he was this furious?

So, how long will Sarah keep up her silent act? She seemed close to telling Xander before Stephanie and Alex arrived, so why didn’t she go through with it in front of them?

Susan’s Magic, Roman’s Potential Guilt

Susan (Stacy Haiduk) finally made it to her son’s bedside. There, she and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) worked out that it was time to bring EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) out of his medically induced coma. Later, she tells Belle (Martha Madison) to do what she can to help EJ wake up—hold his hand and tell him that she loves him. Yes, she guessed that Belle was into her son. And EJ woke up.

While he was comatose, he dreamt or revisited his shooting. Now that he’s awake, will he remember who shot him? And if he does remember, will he reveal the person’s identity? Or will he keep quiet?

Meanwhile, Roman (Josh Taylor) visited Kayla, asking about EJ’s status, which was beyond weird considering he couldn’t care less about EJ. But there he was, expressing interest in EJ’s health. He said the interest came from EJ being the father of two of his grandchildren. Kayla was suspicious.

Should we all be suspicious? Or is this another red herring type of situation? Kate (Lauren Koslow) emphatically told Rex (Kyle Lowder) that there’s no way Roman would ever take it upon himself to shoot EJ. HE NEVER EVER would. What is the show trying to make us believe?
