Days of Our Lives (DOOL) announced it would be replacing head writer Dena Higley with former General Hospital head writer Ron Carlivati in January, as well as bringing in Sheri Anderson as a writing consultant. However, we were led to believe it would be months before we saw anything new.
Well, it turns out Anderson had been working at DAYS since way before January because her work began airing today. Eagle-eyed fans spotted her name in the credits, and Anderson even tweeted the arrival of her stories, saying she worked as a script writer before being promoted to her current position.
Anderson’s arrival is heralded by fans because she wrote for the show back in its supercouple heyday, helping create such pairs as Bo and Hope, Steve and Kayla, Shane and Kimberly, and John and Marlena. Today marked her first DAYS script since the 1990s (though she did write two paperback books for the show in 2010 and 2011), and we hope to see some Salem familiarity in the months to come.

The screen cap posted was from today’s episode. I did a short stint as a script writer before being hired as creative consultant.
