Well, now said biological daddy, TR Coates (William Christian) has popped up in Salem. He put two and two together and seems to have figured out that Lani (Sal Stowers) is his daughter. He also claims to have changed. Should Paulina (Jackée Harry) — and we — believe him? Here’s what DAYS voters had to say:

Lani already has a dad, 65% of you remind. His name is Abe Carver (James Reynolds), and he is a massive improvement over this interloper. Lani needs to cut TR out of her life like he never existed.
If Paulina thought he shouldn’t be anywhere near her babies, then Lani should certainly not let him within 100 feet of Jules and Carver! Bad people never change! Can you imagine what Salem would be like if criminals were constantly forgiven for their crimes and embraced by respectable society?

Maybe TR is a nicer guy these days, 29% of the audience shrugs, but that’s only because he hasn’t been crossed yet. Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) — with a little help from the Devil — gave in and agreed to still make the movie they’d agreed on. That’s why he didn’t have to see his dark side.
Live and Learn
Only 6% of fans believe we’re truly seeing a kinder, gentler TR. It’s been decades since he and Paulina were together. She’s changed since those days, so why couldn’t he have? He’s respectable now. He’s not some hood. He has money and investments. And nice clothes. He’s finally ready to be a father, a grandfather…and maybe even give his and Paulina’s relationship another try.
