Chad and Abigail DiMera are one of the most beloved couples in Salem so of course, their adorable Days of our Lives daughter, Charlotte, plays an important part in their family. Due to the time jump, the young girl had to be aged and now the role is being played by daytime newcomers, Olivia and Oakley Rondou.

The twins recently made their first appearance on the show as they help to fill out the DiMera family, along with their big brother Thomas, who at the time was still being played by Asher Morrissette. The role of Charlotte was previously played by Matilda Hanna and Chloe Teperman (who now play Kelly Spencer on The Bold and the Beautiful).
But it’s not all smiles for the DiMera family as Morrissette’s official Twitter account announced that December 24 episode, in which he appeared along with the Rondou twins, was his farewell episode as the young heir to the DiMera fortune.

What an amazing experience this has been!” The account went on to share a behind the scenes tidbit, “Merry Christmas! Fun #Days fact: Thomas put Tom’s ornament on the tree but that part of the scene never made it to the airing. #deletedscenes”
Since Morrissette made it through the time jump, it’s unclear why this was his last episode in the role, nor is there any information at the moment as to which young actor will be replacing him in the role.
Life in Salem
There hasn’t been a ton of time dedicated to seeing Chad (Billy Flynn) and Abby (Kate Mansi) with their children (as often happens on soaps), but it was certainly a treat for fans to see them during the Christmas holiday. Now that it’s already the new year in Salem, and Grandpa SteVano (Stephen Nichols) is back in a strange way, anything can happen. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC.
