Are fans feeling the love on Days Of Our Lives? For a show that all but invented the supercouple formula (Luke and Laura, who?), does there seem to be a dearth of good, old-fashioned romance in Salem, lately? Are you aching for more? Almost 4,000 fans gave us their views on the subject:
Nothing Better Than More
Too much can never be enough, 83% of you assert — and, right now, you are most certainly not suffering from too much of a good. The hottest couple currently on the canvas is Ciara (Victoria Konafal) and Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) — a Horton/Brady legacy granddaughter…and a reformed serial killer.
They sizzle, no doubt about it. But should a couple’s biggest problem truly be the fear that he might snap and start strangling people again? That’s…less than hot.
Plus, fans are enjoying the slow burn of Gabi (Camila Banus) and Stefan (Brandon Barash). But everyone else is either an old married couple – Marlena (Deidre Hall) and John (Drake Hogysten), a newly re-married couple who act like an old married couple — Will (Chandler Massey) and Sonny (Freddie Smith), and a newly married couple nobody cares about – Sarah (Linsay Godfrey) and Rex (Kyle Lowder).
And then there are Jack (Matthew Ashford) and Eve (Kassie DePaiva). Who knows what Jack and Eve are. This show needs more love in the afternoon — stat!
Horn Of Plenty
Only 17% of the audience gave more romance a thumb’s down, but it’s unclear whether that’s because you believe there’s already enough of it on the canvas, or because you think DOOL should be focusing on different types of stories.
For instance, getting to the bottom of the Kristen (Stacey Haiduk) posing as Nicole (Arianne Zucker), or Maggie’s (Suzanne Rogers) drinking problem. There’s more to life than love! (Don’t ask us what.) Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
