On Days of Our Lives, Chad delivered Abigail’s baby… and then got Stefan to agree to have Abby committed in exchange for said baby.
Now Abigail (Marci Miller, soon Kate Mansi) is locked up in a mental hospital, being taunted by Gabi (Camila Banus), away from both baby Charlotte and toddler Thomas, and Chad (Billy Flynn) refuses to believe she’s being framed.
Can this marriage be saved? (We know, technically they’re no longer married, but didn’t there used to be a magazine series called can this divorced couple get back together?)
More importantly, can Abby ever forgive Chad? Here’s how over 8,000 viewers see it playing out.
It’s Salem!
Of course, she can, 68% of you aren’t even worried. This is Salem. Everyone eventually gets forgiven for everything. Look at Sami (Alison Sweeney). Look at Ben (Robert Scott Wilson). Look at Vivian (Louise Sorel) and Stefano (Joseph Mascolo)!
They may not be beloved by all, but they have no trouble coming up with a devoted love interest. In the end, Chad doesn’t even qualify to be in their league.
Everything he did, he did out of love for Abby. He wasn’t being vindictive or manipulative. He was protecting his ex-wife, his son, and the baby girl he delivered. Abby will eventually see that.
Crossing the Line
Chad took Gabi’s word over that of the woman he loved, 31% point out. She can never forgive that. First, he kidnapped her and forced Abigail to give birth in the middle of nowhere WITH NO EPIDURAL.
That’s the first unforgivable part. Then he schemed with Stefan (Tyler Christopher), using her own newborn as bait. And then, did we forget to mention, he believes Gabi, even when Abigail insists she was set up.
Say goodbye to ever hooking up with Abigail again, Chad. You’ll be lucky if she doesn’t punch you in the face when you come to pick up Thomas – and Charlotte – for visits.
