There was a lot of dirty dealing during the custody battle for Tate on Days of Our Lives (DOOL) and Theresa ended up victorious — but was she the right choice?

Theresa (Jen Lilley) has been gone from her young son’s life for the last year and a half, and now she has won custody from the only parent he’s known all that time. Is that really fair to Tate?

Then again, Brady (Eric Martsolf) was ready to run off with Nicole (Arianne Zucker) and then it seemed to be an afterthought to head home and grab his young son too. Is he really a great parent?

What a mess. These two used to be so in love and now they can’t even agree to have joint custody so both can take care of their son. Instead, they fought tooth and nail to gain sole custody. Now that Theresa has him, was that the right decision?

Soap Hub wanted to know what you think of this touchy situation, and so many were ready to be judge and jury. Here is your verdict.

Raw Deal
After over 11,000 votes were tallied, 50% of you believe that Theresa did not deserve this win. You think it’s crazy that the judge would award her full custody considering her son barely knows who she is. She also hasn’t proven to be a stable force in his life.

Meanwhile, Brady has a good job, a support system with Eve (Kassie DePaiva) by his side, ready to do anything to help Tate and shower him with love.

Justice Was Done
A strong 47% of the vote, on the other hand, believes that the judge made the right choice by awarding custody of Tate to his mother. You know that before she left, Theresa adored her son and took excellent care of him. Brady has not been steady nor stable.

While Brady loves his boy, he was cruel to his mother after all that Theresa did to protect them both, trying to keep her away from him was just plain cruel.

On the Fence
Still, 3% decided not to answer in a clear fashion and instead wrote in their thoughts — which brought up several different ways to basically say joint custody. Too bad neither was willing to accept that option after Eve and Victor did their thing.
