Poor Anjelica Deveraux has entered the great beyond on Days of Our Lives but her portrayer, Morgan Fairchild, has plenty of reasons to celebrate!
That’s because the actress who was born Patsy Ann McClenny on, February 3, 1950 in Dallas, Texas, turned 69 on Sunday!
In 1973, after choosing to use the stage name Morgan, the young actress decided to pursue a career in television. Only six weeks after moving to New York, she landed the part of Jennifer on Search for Tomorrow — a role she played until 1977.
In 1978, after having moved to Los Angles, she guested on shows like Happy Days, The Bob Newhart Show, and Police Woman before she got the chance to originate the role of Jenna Wade on Dallas — a role that later was played by Priscilla Presley.
Fairchild enjoyed a recurring role on Mork & Mindy with Robin Williams and then several other guest starring roles soon followed. But it was her next big role on Flamingo Road that earned her a Golden Globe nomination and was considered her breakout role.
Paper Dolls followed soon after, then the mini-series North and South, as well as its sequel, North and South Book II. After that, she played Jordan Roberts on the primetime soap Falcon Crest.
Many, many guest appearances followed — too numerous to mention them all — but some of the most memorable were on Roseanne, Cybill, and on Friends.
But Fairchild wasn’t done with soaps. She played Sydney Chase on both General Hospital and The City, Dorothy on The Bold and the Beautiful, and of course most recently Anjelica on DAYS.
