More Sorrow for Days of Our Lives Star Judi Evans

Fans rallied around Days of Our Lives star Judi Evans late last year when news of a personal tragedy struck her family. Now, the actress is facing another crisis and her supporters are rallying to her aid.

Last month, Evans suffered every parent’s greatest nightmare when her son, Austin, died suddenly. Now, the Emmy-winning fan favorite is faced with another crisis, her personal publicist and longtime friend Howie Simon shares.

“Judi Evans would LOVE your prayers, thoughts and support for a close family member of hers that recently went through an emergency procedure with the heart 2 weeks ago and they are still in need of continued prayer for this delicate matter,” shared Simon (with Evans’ knowledge and permission).

The actress is choosing not to reveal the identity of her family member who’s currently fighting a health crisis (but we hear it is not her husband, Michael Luciano.)

“It’s been a rollercoaster ride for her recently and I don’t know how she does it, but she continues to forge ahead despite every obstacle. But she still has hope in her voice and in her heart. That’s our Judi! She has appreciated all the love and support the last 6 weeks on behalf of her and her husband, Michael. Please keep the prayers coming their way!”

As DAYS fans may know, there was some good news for the actress announced recently by her Salem leading man, Wally Kurth (Justin). He tweeted that — despite Adrienne’s on-screen death — Evans would be returning to Days of Our Lives. Whether she’ll pop up as either Adrienne’s lookalike, the bodacious Bonnie, a resurrected Adrienne, or someone else, however, remains to be seen!

Evans is beloved for playing four different characters on three different soaps: Beth on Guiding Light; Paulina on Another World; and Bonnie and Adrienne on DAYS. Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Check local listings for air times.
