Ciara has been found on Days of our Lives! She’s in the hospital! She has amnesia! She needs her mommy! You know, the mommy who didn’t believe that her little girl was dead and took off into the night to find her?
Days of our Lives Polling
So now that Ciara (Victoria Konefal) is back… why isn’t Hope (Kristian Alfonso) part of the welcoming committee? How should the show deal with it? What almost 6,000 viewers want to see happen:
New Faces
Exactly half the audience, 50%, think that if Alfonso doesn’t want to return, the show should go ahead and recast. Hope is just too important to this story. And while Alfonso has played her on and off since the early 1980s, she isn’t the original actress. Before her, teen Hope was played by Tammy Taylor, and, even earlier, little girl Hope was Natasha Ryan. Is one of them available?
Pay Her What She’s Worth
A slightly smaller 43% of you don’t care how much money or what contractual concessions Alfonso is asking for – she’s worth every penny. Nobody else can play Hope, and this story simply can’t go on without her. She’s got you over a barrel, guys. Pay up.
Here’s the thing: Nobody really knows who is writing or producing the show. Those folks are interchangeable. But we get attached to the actors, and they’re who bring us back, day after day. They deserve the raises before anyone else.
Hope For The Future
A last-place 7% have a suggestion for the writers: Say that Hope has been off the grid since leaving town to search for Ciara. If she can’t be found, she can’t be informed that her daughter is alive. And if she can’t be informed that her daughter is still alive, it feels less odd that she hasn’t yet made her way home to her. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC.
