Mary Beth Evans and Stephen Nichols Catch Up With DAYS Daughter

It’s been a while since Days of our Lives fans have seen Stephanie Johnson in Salem, as her portrayer Shelley Hennig exited the show in 2011, though she did come back for her on-screen parents’ wedding in 2017. Mary Beth Evans and Stephen Nichols recently met with Hennig for lunch, enjoying a fun reunion that they all couldn’t wait to share with fans.

“Little Sweetness lunch,” Nichols wrote on Instagram, adding a few photos. “Our baby girl, @shelleyhennig, met us for lunch and we couldn’t be happier to be back together. So proud of our girl! Next time we’ll have all the Johnsons together!”

“True love!” Evans responded, with Hennig herself writing, “My heart wasn’t the same until today. Love ya tv papa!” She also posted a photo from the day on her own account.

In another post, Nichols shared a video with his on-screen family, and the trio had somewhat of a hard time remembering what exactly happened to Stephanie.

Hennig originally thought she was in Europe, but then Evans thought her on-screen daughter was off in San Francisco, had offered her brother Joey a job after getting out of jail, and he moved there to be with her last Christmas. At first, Nichols just seemed totally confused by everything and admitted, “I don’t remember any of this,” but then he remembered that it was actually Seattle where his kids lived.

“What a sweet lunch with these beauties,” Nichols wrote in his caption alongside the video, explaining how Hennig is shooting two indie films this month.

Evans posted the same video with a loving caption of her own.

The actors also explained in the video that James Lastovic, who plays Joey, was also hoping to attend the luncheon with his on-screen family, but it didn’t work out.
