Days of Our Lives star Martha Madison was incredibly candid on her thoughts about motherhood in a sweet message for her daughter’s birthday.
Madison wrote the following on Instagram, honoring her young daughter who just turned 5 years old. Here are her words:
“When I was younger, I would often profess how very much I NEVER wanted to be a mother. I mean, how would I travel?…and hang out with my friends?…and find time to be a world famous thespian??? The thought of not getting a solid nine hours of sleep a night? No! And don’t even get me started on what havoc it would wreak on my body/boobs!
“Selfish? Yes! Self aware? Also yes!
“The idea of having some germ-ridden human spreading disease and crumbs all about my OCD-inspired home was an idea almost too much to bare. Losing teeth? Random bouts of vomiting? Peeing on everything? The high pitched noise level alone could land me in therapy for decades.
“And then…in 2013 she decided it was time to come around and SHOW me. And, ohhhhh how she showed me! And it was terrifying and wonderful and hilarious and infuriating and scary and silly and FUN and perfect!
“CB, I love you more than sleep and travel and a clean house. I love you more than my boobs and my career and all of the furniture you’ve ruined. I love you more than any single thing or person on Earth! Happy Birthday, monkey! You rule my world.”
