Martha Madison is best known for playing John and Marlena’s daughter, Belle Black, on Days of Our Lives, but she’s also appeared on soaps such as Passions and General Hospital.

Who Is Martha Madison?
Madison was born on July 27 in Newport News, Virginia, but she was raised in Houston, Texas. She attended Cypress Creek High School and then attended Texas A&M University, where she got her degree in psychology. She moved to New York to attend the American Musical and Dramatic Academy to pursue dance.
Remembers When It All Began
Madison grew up being a fan of Days of Our Lives and started watching when she was young. In fact, she remembers when Belle became a character and she instantly became one of her favorites, so it was a big moment when she herself got the part years later.
Big Heart
Madison is a National Ambassador for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and works to bring awareness to the cause. She joined in 2005 because her mother was diagnosed with MS in the early ‘80s. Her mother later developed Frontotemporal Degeneration (FTD), so Madison now also dedicates her time to raising awareness about this particular type of dementia.
Serious Foodie
Along with acting, Madison and her husband have opened up a number of restaurants in California. She was a co-owner of Luna Park restaurants in Los Angeles and San Francisco, Henry’s Hat in Los Angeles, and Pata Salada, which is also in Los Angeles. They are now preparing to open The Mayor’s House in the Bishop Arts District of Dallas, Texas.
Getting Personal With Martha Madison
Madison married her husband, A.J. Gilbert, in 2007 following a year-long engagement. In fact, Madison shared a post in August celebrating their 12-year wedding anniversary.
