It’s been a long time since Mark Valley inhabited the shoes of Jack Devereaux, but a recent tweet made us wonder if the talented actor isn’t open to a return to Days of Our Lives (DOOL).
Valley played Jennifer’s (Melissa Reeves) husband from 1994-1997. After leaving the show, he had huge success all over primetime, including on Boston Legal, Human Target, Harry’s Law, Body of Proof, and more recently, Girlfriends Guide to Divorce.
But this weekend, the actor weighed in a Twitter thread, which actors don’t often do when it’s about a soap character they played in the previous century.
The Twitter handle @Daysofour_lives, which calls itself ThoseWereTheDAYS, shared a picture of the actor to mark the anniversary of his first day in Salem. The image was of Valley’s Jack (with Jaime Lyn Bauer, who played Laura Horton). Another poster mentioned how they’d love to see Laura make another visit to Salem.
This is when Valley chimed in and asked, “And Middle Jack Deveraux too?” referring to the fact Jack returned after he left, once again played by Matt Ashford. Could this mean the handsome actor would be open to a return trip to Salem?
Of course, the character of Jack has since been killed off, but considering Dr. Rolf could have reached him too, anything is possible!
Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
