Will the third time be the charm for Marie Wilson on Days of our Lives? The actress has had two runs in Salem, and now according to published reports, she’s headed for a third.
Marie Wilson Returns
Fans will recall Wilson’s first role on the show as Bree Tjaden from 2014 to 2015. She then played the role of Summer, Maggie’s (Suzanne Rogers) daughter, starting in 2016.
Now, Soaps.com is sharing that Wilson is headed back to Salem to reprise her role as Summer. She’s set to air on Tuesday, January 21. Viewers learned that Summer was Maggie’s long-lost daughter, fathered by a farmhand named Noah, and given up for adoption.
While on DAYS, Summer reconnected with Clark (Josh Burrow), a man she’d once stolen from. Summer had issues with Maggie over being abandoned by her so she declined Maggie’s offer to live with her and Victor (John Aniston). Summer hooked up with Dario (Jordi Vilasuso), but Summer immediately regretted the fling.
A Brady Connection
Summer had feelings for Brady, who was surprised when she made her feelings known to him. He lost faith in her after her role in Clark’s death came to light. No word yet on what brings Summer back to the story canvas or how long she’ll be staying, so stay tuned to find out.
Wilson’s other soap roles include Karen on Port Charles and Meg Snyder on As the World Turns. As veteran fans of PC may recall, the day Wilson was killed off as Karen, news came down that the show was canceled. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
