While celebrating Throwback Thursday, a fun way to look at old pictures on social media, Days of Our Lives (DOOL) star Marci Miller reminded us how drastically things can change in just one year.
The talented actress shared a picture of herself with co-star and onscreen husband, Billy Flynn (Chad) last year. In the post, she recalled how nervous she was to attend and be a presenter at the 44th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.
Well flash forward to 2018 and she’s not just attending the 45th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards — she’s a contender!
The relative newcomer to daytime learned last week that she was nominated against some of heavy hitters for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.
Abigail certainly went through a lot this past year, but Miller had more to challenge her than just meaty material. She was replacing the uber-popular and Emmy-award-winning Kate Mansi in the role, so she had to win fans’ hearts and acceptance, as well.
She also had to jump in mid-stream to one of Salem’s most popular supercouples, along with Flynn’s Chad.
The two made magic together, garnering new fans along the way. They weathered two love triangles (with Dario and Gabi) and are now on their third with Stefan (Tyler Christopher).
Not only that, Miller was given the holy grail of acting challenges — her character has multiple personalities. Is there nothing she can’t do? It makes you wonder where she’ll be another year… perhaps taking over the world?
