Maggie name-dropped Vivian Alamain in the Wednesday, March 19 episode of Days of Our Lives. She volunteered at Statesville and ran into the woman who talked to her about Philip. In addition, Theresa and Joy may have both exited Salem, and Xander stumbled and eavesdropped his way into having the wrong idea.

The Lies and Lies of Omission
Apparently, Vivian (Louise Sorel) approached Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) and mentioned how pleased she was that the letter enabled Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) to stake out a claim at Titan. And she also said she was glad she was able to forge a new relationship with Philip. She actually used the word “forge.” This tells us that Vivian’s not completely out of the game here. She may well reveal the truth whenever she wants.
Meanwhile, Xander (Paul Telfer) eavesdropped on Philip and Stephanie (Abigail Klein), but he only heard them talking about keeping a secret from Alex (Robert Scott Wilson). Naturally, he drew the wrong conclusion and told Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) that he thought Philip and Stephanie were having a secret affair, which was far from the truth. The two decided it was best not to tell Alex what Xander overheard, hence the lie of omission.
Also, Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins) and Alex had a talk, and instead of telling him that she was pregnant, she told him she had decided to quit Titan and move home to New York to be near her parents and sister. It was the wrong thing to do, but since this is Joy, of course, this was the decision she made.

Goodbye, Theresa and Joy
Later in The Brady Pub, Joy was on the phone with Nancy (Patrika Darbo), telling her mom she was coming home. She also told her mom that she would explain everything when she got there. After she looked at the pregnancy test results one more time, she walked through the door and presumably headed to the airport.
Finally, Theresa (Emily O’Brien) got devastating news from her dad. Shane (Charles Shaughnessy) revealed that Kimberly’s (ex-Patsy Pease) cancer is back. And then Theresa told Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Tate (Leo Howard) that Shane wanted her to go home to care for Kimberly until he could get there. Kimberly is already starting treatment for her Leukemia, so she will need support ASAP.

So, Theresa couldn’t even hang with Brady and Tate at the batting cages. She said she would have to head to the airport to catch her flight.
