Too Many Cooks? Do Days Of Our Lives Fans Want Xander To Stick Around?

Days Of Our Lives fans are getting whiplash watching Xander come and go. He’s here! He’s gone! He’s dead! He’s alive! He’s hot! He’s…well, still hot.

Xander (Paul Tefler) has returned to Salem in order to comfort his “wife” Nicole (Arianne Zucker) over the “death” of her daughter, Holly. He’s also the one responsible for the whole fraud that’s currently making everyone shriek and rip their hair out.

Xander has a past that includes an ill-advised, one-night stand with Sarah (Linsay Godfrey), resentment towards Victor (John Aniston), and rivalry with Brady (Eric Martsolf.) Eric (Greg Vaughn) also hates him about the Nicole-was-also-presumed-dead-for-a-while thing.

So there’s plenty for Xander to do in Salem. The question is, do you want to watch him doing it? Almost 18,000 shared some pretty strong opinions!

A majority 79% are really tired of this peek-a-boo shtick. You left? Stay gone, man. Nobody wants — or needs — to see you. Sarah has Eric and Rex (Kyle Lowder). Nicole has Eric and her self-pitying anger.

Victor has bigger fish to fry. Only Brady is willing to make Xander a business offer…you sincerely hope he refuses. The guy is smarmy and nasty and has no redeemable qualities. You think Salem is the sort of place where a criminal can be forgiven and allowed to go along on his merry way? Over and over again?

Stay a while, a minority 21% of you urge. Xander keeps things interesting. It’s good for Victor to remember there is someone looking to take him down, and it’s even better for Salem’s men, who think they’re all that, to know that there’s a guy lurking about with a killer smile…and, it would seem, an even better bedside manner.
