On Days Of Our Lives, Maggie went from innocent, crippled farm girl to wife of a stalwart Horton. (So, OK, so he may have had amnesia when they met after shooting his brother and blocking it out — but he eventually made it back to Salem.
She also became surrogate mom fighting to keep her baby (that would be Sarah), to the wife of a grumpy billionaire with all grown up kids popping up all over the place.
(Hey, who remembers that the reason Maggie wanted to be a surrogate in the first place was that she’d never been pregnant and wanted the experience? Hi, out of nowhere, daughter Summer!)
These days, though, Maggie is more or less invisible. She only pops up periodically to tell Victor (John Aniston) that he’s been a bad mogul, or so that Diana (Judith Chapman) or Kate (Lauren Koslow) can point out for frumpy and judgmental she is. Does Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) deserve more? We heard from almost 26,000 voters!
It’s gotten a little better, 71% of you point out as, in addition to chastising Victor, we’ve also seen Maggie giving Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) advice she obviously has no intention of following. But that’s not enough.
Maggie needs to do something besides sit and fret. She has to make up her mind, once and for all. Does she intend to keep falling for Victor’s “I’ll become a better man for you, I promise,” or does she intend to kick him to the curb once and for all? You want fireworks, and redheaded Maggie knows how to deliver!
Maudlin Maggie
Was Maggie ever interesting, 29% of the audience struggles to recall. She was always kind of wallpaper, serving tea and cookies and telling her husband(s) to be good. Is she capable of doing anything else? Honestly, you’re not all that interested in finding out.
