Lucas and Adrienne to Wed on Days of Our Lives!

Get out your hankies, “Days of Our Lives” fans. A couple you never expected is going to tie the knot in Salem!

Lucas (Bryan Datillo) will ask Adrienne (Judi Evans) to marry him on June 21st, according to the latest issue of TV Guide. Their walk down the aisle comes this fall.

Datillo described the affair as “a typical Salem wedding where things don’t go the way they’re supposed to–except fireworks.” There will also apparently be plenty of drama sources to add to the festivities.

Neither Adrienne’s handsome son, Sonny (Freddie Smith), nor Lucas’ fearsome mother, Kate (Lauren Koslow) meets the news of the upcoming nuptials with happiness.

“Sonny is hoping his parents will get back together, and he really needs to get over that. As for Kate, what else is new? She badmouths all of Lucas’ women. In the past, he’s felt betrayed by that and confused. Now he just thinks she’s crazy,” Datillo said in TV Guide.

We don’t expect the shenanigans to stop there. A soap wedding wouldn’t be a soap wedding if major disasters didn’t occur!

Diedre Hall (Marlena Brady) appeared on HLN’s “Home and Family” last week and teased several Salem weddings to come.
