While her last visit to Salem was awfully quick, former Days of Our Lives (DOOL) star Lisa Rinna is celebrating a very important day.
Rinna was born on July 11, 1963 in Medford, Oregon, which means that she is turning 55 today! The former DAYS star has been married to Harry Hamlin of LA Law fame since 1997, and the couple has two daughters.
Rinna grew up in the town she was born in and graduated from Medford Senior High School in 1981. She started off in the Brownies and went on to become involved with cheerleading at both her junior high and high school.
She studied drama at the University of Oregon, but had to drop out after her first term when she was denied entry to the advanced acting program. That certainly didn’t hamper her career.
She began her career doing primetime guest spots on shows like Valerie, Shades of LA, and Baywatch but it was her role as Billie Reed on DAYS, which she landed back in 1992, that really kicked her career off. She became a regular on Melrose Place in 1996 playing Taylor.
From there she went on to do countless roles on TV shows and in TV movies, as well as appearing on stage in the musical Chicago with Tom Wopat.
Not one to sit by and wait for things to happen, Rinna reinvented herself many times. She owns a clothing store, has written a book, produced a DVD, became a talk show host, and has taken the reality world by storm on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
