While Soap Hub reported a month ago that Linsey Godrey would be joining Days of Our Lives, now which character from the past she’s bringing back has been revealed!
According to published reports, Godfrey will be bringing the character of Sarah Horton back to Salem. Sarah is Maggie’s (Suzanne Rogers) daughter. She was last seen in 1991, played by Alli Brown.
Sarah’s father was Neil Curtis, though Mikey Horton helped to raise her. Originally though, Maggie was going to be a surrogate but decided to keep the baby after all.
An interesting event from her past was that she was hit by a car that was driven by a drunk Eve Donovan (now played by Kassie DePaiva).
It should be interesting if the show decides to have Sarah hold a grudge about that. Of course, there was one other horrifying event for young Sarah.
Mickey had started spending more and more time at the office, and a lonely Maggie ended up having an affair with Neil. Poor Sarah walked in on them in bed together and ratted them out to Mickey.
Growing more and more uncomfortable at home, Sarah decided to move to Nashville to join her adopted sister, Melissa, where one would guess she has been ever since but who knows what head writer Ron Carlivati has in store for her backstory.
Although she wasn’t shown onscreen, Sarah was supposedly back in Salem in 2010 for Mickey’s funeral. Sarah was once a candy striper at the hospital. It will be interesting to see if she remained in the medical field like her biological father, Neil.
Godrey comes to DAYS after having created the role of Caroline on The Bold and the Beautiful. She was on and off that show a few times between 2012 through 2018.
Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
