Gabi’s the odd girl out now that Days of Our Lives (DOOL) has reunited supercouple Chad and Abigail.
It leaves Camila Banus sans a storyline for the first time in years (cause we doubt this Raines thing will last longer than a few days), but surely the soap won’t let the actress sit idly on the sidelines for long.
Banus has proven she’s adept at playing sweet, sexy and everything in between. (Remember, she killed Nick!)
Here are a few suggestions the soap should consider for Banus and Gabi.
Revisiting JJ
JJ (Casey Moss) and Gabi’s breakup was fast and furious. Gabi found out JJ cheated with Lani (Sal Stowers) and dumped him on the spot. The abrupt move was made to segue Gabi in Chad’s (Billy Flynn) direction.
Now that that story has wrapped, how about revisiting the feelings that JJ and Gabi shared? Their romance was short, but sweet; particularly because of the pair’s connection to the late Paige.
Waiting for Tyler…
General Hospital vet Tyler Christopher is headed to DAYS in a hush-hush role. How about if his character became enamored with Gabi, setting the stage for an older man/younger woman romance?

Christopher could totally fit the bill as a suave soulful guy who sweeps Gabi off her feet, making her feel loved and protected for the first time in her life.
A Kiriakis Kid
Aside from Sonny, Justin and Adrienne have three other sons: Alexander, Joey, and Victor. What if one or two of them relocated to Salem and fought it out over Gabi? Not only would it utilize Banus in a triangle again but also expand the next generation of Kiriakises and the screen time of actors Wally Kurth and Judi Evans.
About Eli
There was conflict galore built into Gabi’s budding romance with Eli (Lamon Archey). His grandmother, Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes), loathed Gabi and for good reason. She murdered Julie’s beloved cousin Nick (Blake Berris).
So it stood to reason that she didn’t want Eli falling under Gabi’s spell. Maybe it’s time to stir all that drama up again.
Time for Tripp
Steve’s son Tripp seems wise beyond his years. Gabi’s had to grow up fast, too, having had daughter Arianna when she was just a teenager. Perhaps the twosome should cross paths and start developing a friendship.
If there’s a spark of chemistry between Banus and Lucas Adams, the soap could move forward with a new and out of the box coupling.
