Hope has been losing her ever lovin’ mind about her daughter Ciara being with Ben on Days of Our Lives (DOOL) but really — who can blame her? Well, apparently, plenty of people.
First, the facts — it’s not like Ciara (Victoria Konefal) hasn’t been in danger before. She was raped by her own stepbrother. Of course, he wouldn’t have been near Ciara if Hope hadn’t married his father, but we digress.
Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) does have a past of torturing and killing people. It’s not like Hope (Kristian Alfonso) is making that up. He did seem to get off on strangling people. Sure, one returned from the dead but others didn’t!
And then there’s that little temper thing Ben has when he’s not on his meds. All in all, Hope, being the police commissioner and everything, is having a hard time buying that he’s changed.
The next thing she knows, he’s keeping her daughter in the same cabin that he tortured Abigail (then Kate Mansi) in and then torched. And what happens? Another fire! So, can Soap Hub readers really think Hope is overreacting to Ben and Ciara?
Why yes! Yes, they can! After over 4,000 of you voted, 77% take issue with Hope and think she needs to back off of the adorable young couple who aren’t even really a couple.
Ciara believes Ben has changed, and that’s good enough for you. It’s not like Ciara has ever shown poor judgment in the past. Oh wait…
Forget her trying to kiss Chad (Billy Flynn) or throwing herself at Theo when he was already committed to Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan). Bygones! She spent a whole week with him so she knows. And he set her leg! How can Hope be mad?
Of course, this means that 23% of you don’t blame Hope for being a bit worried about her fragile daughter. Even if she’s tough enough to drive her father’s cool motorcycle she still managed to crash it and break her leg. Ouch! Another moment of good judgment!
But you do think that Hope should watch herself or she may just end up pushing her daughter into the arms of the one man Hope wants her away from the most.
