The Start
While Gwen (Emily O’Brien) thinks she and Xander (Paul Telfer) are a thing, Xander is hitting the sheets with Kristen (Stacy Haiduk). Their situationship is a little bit personal, a little bit professional. But Kristen is a possessive person. The word “psycho” comes to mind. So how will she react when she finds out Sarah went to Xander for help with investigating EJ’s connection to a bad batch of drugs that may have killed Sarah’s patient?
The Middle
The flip side, of course, is how will Xander react when he finds out that he isn’t Sarah’s only hero? She is actually working on this caper with Brady (Eric Martsolf). Brady, for his part, wasn’t ecstatic about the development. He and Steve (Stephen Nichols) had just hit up Johnny (Carson Boatman) for the same information. But then Brady made his peace with it. Xander isn’t known for being equally peaceful.
The End?
But on top of the Xander and Sarah ex-lovers-now-co-parents connection, there is also the Kristen and Brady ex-lovers-now-much-more-antagonistic co-parents connection. Kristen may be dallying with Xander now, but she will always be obsessed with Brady. Is this a quad… or more of a circle? All we know is, this is EXACTLY how you write an umbrella story that will even pull in other characters, like Johnny, Gwen, EJ (Dan Feuerriegel), and even Leo (Greg Rikaart). DAYS is serving up good, solid, classic soap, and we are loving this return to the good old DAYS.
