After Brady was shot on Days of Our Lives (DOOL), his father John finally returned to Salem from his secret ISA mission to see him. He was a sight for sore eyes who have missed him – especially Marlena.
John Black (Drake Hogestyn) has been a mainstay in Salem for decades but an accident several months ago sidelined the popular actor for a while. He finally returned, pleasing Jarlena fans to no end. But now it looks like he’s leaving again!

Please, Don’t Go
After over 4,000 votes were tallied, 75% believe John needs to stay put in Salem already. Enough with his gallivanting on secret missions, already – Marlena needs him around, Brady (Eric Martsolf) needs him around, and so do all of his fans!
The love story of John and Marlena (Deidre Hall) needs to continue. You’ve been missing them together, and the last couple of weeks have reminded you just how much. Marlena shouldn’t have to do without him and neither should fans.
In and Out
It appears that 19% are fine with his coming and going as story dictates. You understand that maybe Hogestyn still needs to take it easy after his head injury and you prefer having him back in short stints to not having him at all. You’ll enjoy him when he’s around.
Get Healthy
Only 6% believe he should stay away from Salem so that Hogestyn can concentrate on getting better full time. You don’t want to be selfish just because you miss the actor. Of course, there is the possibility that you aren’t a fan of John Black and would prefer Marlena be single again.
