It was really weird (and let’s be honest – it felt really contrived) when JJ announced to his mother that he cheated on Gabi on Days of Our Lives.
After all, he made no secret of how much he loved Gabi (Camila Banus) and was dedicated to her. So why, when he was away in Miami searching for information on the “death” of his sister Abigail, would he cheat on her?
Add to that the fact he was so drunk he didn’t even remember it, something didn’t quite add up. Was he being set up, or did he really sleep with someone – and if so, why would he sleep with a complete stranger?
New Theory
But what if the woman he slept with wasn’t a complete stranger? What if she was someone who has shown to have an attraction to boys in blue? Then lo and behold come spoilers that Lani is returning to Salem.
That got us writers at Soap Hub thinking. Lani has shown a preference for cops, right? She had a thing for both Rafe (Galen Gering) and Shawn (Brandon Beemer), so why not a thing for JJ?

Will she try to reconnect with him when she returns to Salem next week? And if she does, what do you think she’ll want from JJ (Casey Moss)? More importantly, what will Gabi do when she finds out Lani was the one who slept with JJ while he was so out of it he couldn’t even remember it was her?
