For months, Native Americans and supporters have protested in Standing Rock North Dakota to block an oil pipeline that was set to be routed through sacred Native American land, possibly causing damage to drinking water.
U.S. Military veterans and celebrities have joined the protesters at Standing Rock, including former Days of Our Lives star James Scott (EJ DiMera). Although not an American (he was born and raised in England), Scott stood at Standing Rock over the weekend, displaying a Water Is Life ski hat to call attention to the potential dangers of the pipeline.
He tweeted some photos, including one of him listening to political activist Cornell West on Sunday, the day the Army Corp of Engineers chose to halt the project.

From the looks of Scott’s Twitter, he seemed to be planning his presence for weeks, as he asked for people involved in the protests to email him on November 24.
