Ha! Psych! Turned out Marlena was only brainwashed into thinking she was the killer (who are you going to believe, your own eyes or a retcon?). And all the victims? They were happily living together on an island called Melaswen. That’s New Salem… spelled backwards.
But, presumably, there was plenty of mosquito repellent. Despite the bizarre circumstances, nobody lost their mind.
