It was only a few years ago – more on Days of our Lives, due to the time skip – when Stefan was sleeping with Gabby, fully aware that she was his sister-in-law, Abigail’s, alternate personality. The situation seemed vaguely unethical… if not outright rape-y.
Days of our Lives Polling
Now, Stefan’s nephew, Theo (Cameron Johnson) is encouraging his childhood friend Ciara (Victoria Konefal) not to try regaining her memory – and her love for her husband Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) – but just to ignore that part of her life and move to South Africa with him. Is Theo as guilty as Stefan was back in the day? Over 4,000 fans compared the two:
Family Trait
A majority 58% of the audience agree that Theo is also taking advantage of a mentally impaired woman. Sure, he’s doing it all sweetly, with his aw-shucks demeanor, and his autism, which comes and goes as the plot demands it, but, in the end, he is acting like what Abe (James Reynolds) is always afraid of his son turning into – a DiMera.
Nicer Guy
A smaller 25% of you agree that Theo isn’t exactly acting ethically, but, still, he is nowhere near Stefan’s league. Stefan only wanted Gabigail for himself, partially as a way to undermine Chad (Billy Flynn). Theo’s love for Ciara is more…pure. So it’s OK. Ish. Anyway, he was born on the show. So he gets extra benefit-of-the-doubt points.
Different Places
In last place are the 17% who insist it’s totally different: Stefan was manipulating Abigail (Marci Miller). Theo is more misguided. He honestly thinks he’s doing what’s best for Ciara. She’s the one insisting she wants nothing to do with Ben, Theo didn’t plant that idea in her mind.
Anyway, he was born on the show. So he gets extra benefit-of-the-doubt points. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
