Li Shin has come and gone from Days of our Lives multiple times over the years. But it’s usually been merely to cast a vote about something DiMera-related or to fire/install a CEO…and look good in suits.

This time, however, he got to vote about something DiMera-related, look good in suits…and then take it off in order to have sex with Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus). Before they got down to business, Gabi wondered if getting romantically involved would change things. Li (Remington Hoffman) assured her it wouldn’t. We beg to differ.

When will Gabi learn not to mix business with pleasure? Did it work with Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash)? No, it did not. So why does she think it will work with Li? As she said herself, his father is the head of the company she now runs. Are we supposed to think there won’t be conflict?

What if Shin the Elder wants Gabi to do something she doesn’t want to do? And he tells Shin the Younger to make her do it? How does sex fit into that? Gabi will get huffy. Li will get huffy. And then one of them will do something dumb. That’s not good for business.
DAYS: Heaven Help My Heart
But the even bigger risk is to Gabi’s feelings. She’s been pretty much screwed over by every man she’s ever believed in. If she starts to develop actual feelings for Li — outside of the he’s so hot and why hasn’t he gotten laid yet in Salem feelings? — and then they argue over business — and he pulls the ‘my father is your boss’ card — she’ll be heartbroken again. And a heartbroken Gabi is a vicious Gabi. Which is fun for us, but not so much for her. And definitely not for poor Li, who won’t know what hit him.
