DAYS: Is It The End of the Road for Stefano?

With Andre going rogue and kidnapping Sami (Alison Sweeney) on Days of Our Lives, and taking Chad’s situation into his own hands, it looks like the longtime evil DiMera plans to take over the family business. But, what does this mean for family patriarch Stefano?

While the elder DiMera has more lives than a cat, he can’t have endless lives. Could DAYS be thinking of killing Stefano off for the umpteenth time in order to have a new DiMera at the helm? After all, Thaao Penghlis has been by Joseph Mascolo’s since the DiMeras first arrived in Salem over 30 years ago (albeit as Tony in the beginning), making Andre the perfect head of this dastardly clan.

Even if DAYS decides not to go the Stefano death route, fans must remember that Mascolo’s stays in Salem have been sporadic over the years and this one may be coming to an end like the rest. While there’s been no word on the actor’s status with the show, Stefano has not been healthy in recent months and may decide to take some time on one of his islands relaxing to some symphony music, sipping fine wine, and manipulating a chess board from afar and off-screen.

Meanwhile, Andre sticks around making Salem lives miserable while also battling it out with brother, Chad (Billy Flynn), the more moral and sensible DiMera. With Sami holding the key to the DiMera fortune and Andre holding Sami, it certainly looks to be where the show is headed.
