The House of Representatives has scheduled another public impeachment hearing for Friday that the three networks plan to cover, leaving the fate of your Friday soap operas in question.
Unlike Wednesday’s hearing, only one person will be testifying, beginning at 10 am. This brings the possibility that the hearing will be shorter than the first one, but as this is a live real-life even with national and global consequences, anything can happen.
The networks have not yet decided how to handle its soap opera schedule, but it seems likely that Days of Our Lives and The Young and the Restless will be pre-empted in some markets.
Days of Our Lives does not delay its schedule and as is typical, you can likely catch it on NBC.com or at different times later at night, depending on the decision by your local NBC affiliate.
On Wednesday, The Young and the Restless, The Bold and the Beautiful, and General Hospital were each pushed back a day. CBS and ABC might still decide to do that or they might lift their firewalls on the network websites. CBS might also use CBS All Access to keep the soap operas on schedule.
As Soap Hub learns more about how you can see your soaps on Friday if they are all pre-empted due to the impeachment hearings, we will keep you informed.
