Days of our Lives’ Stephanie has done exactly what she was afraid of by deleting Joy’s voicemail to Alex. Stephanie’s split decision not only caused problems with her husband but also made Joy look better in his eyes.

Excerpt Takeaways

  • Stephanie made an incorrect assumption.
  • Alex clocked what was wrong with Stephanie: jealousy.
  • Something tells me this choice is about to cost Stephanie everything, including her sanity.

What Were You Thinking Stephanie?

Let’s be honest, Stephanie (Abigail Klein) hasn’t been thinking clearly since she was kidnapped by Owen (Wes Ramsey). I can fully understand that and the struggle she’s been dealing with because of him.

The way she has been handling the Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins), though, is only causing more problems for Stephanie. It further proves that she’s nowhere near as okay as her husband, Alex (Robert Scott Wilson), and other loved ones think.

Stephanie ignoring Joy’s call to Alex was a bad decision, not simply a lapse in judgement and she knows it. I believe that choice only highlights Stephanie’s jealousy over Kelsey (Lena and Mira Chase) and Joy, something Alex clocked when he confronted her about it.

Alex has been by Stephanie’s side for months now, always putting her first and being her rock. The fact is, he now has to think about his daughter, and Stephanie can’t handle that.

Stephanie says all the right things to her husband, but her actions speak volumes, and it could ruin her marriage. The lack of trust Stephanie has in Joy is warranted; she’s done some very shady things in the past, like keeping Alex from his daughter.

Honestly, though it doesn’t really matter what Joy has done, Stephanie has made her bed, and now she has to lie in it. I feel like this will be a changing point in her marriage as Alex becomes further divided between his wife and daughter.

I also think the jealousy and insecurity aren’t really about Joy but rather stem from her kidnapping. Stephanie has been different since then, but she keeps trying to hide just how different she is.

Listen, I am not saying Joy is a saint because let’s be honest, she’s not. This isn’t really about Joy, though it’s all about Stephanie and the jealous, insecure person she has become.

If she keeps acting this way, she will lose Alex forever. Stephanie ignoring and deleting Joy’s voicemail already put a major damper on his trust of his wife.
