HUGE Milestone For Jen Lilley: She’s Adopting “Her Son”

Jen Lilley has shown what a big heart she has by being there for foster children, and now she’ll soon be able to call one of those kids her son.

The former Days of Our Lives actress announced on Instagram a couple of weeks ago that she planned to adopt a little boy she has been fostering for the last two years.

“We are officially on the road to adoption. I have loved every single moment over the last two years with this little man,” she said. “He has given me more laughter in two long and tearful years than I have had in my lifetime. And when I come home, I’m taking this kiddo to Disneyland. One more week munchkin. Momma loves you.”

Well, now it looks like she’s about to be one step closer to adopting because the actress tweeted a video Thursday of her heading to court.

“I am getting ready to go into court on behalf of my foster son who we’re adopting. We’re not adopting today but it’s the first day I’ve been able to go to court and I just wanted to share it with you guys and thank you cause I know so many of you have prayed for me on this journey.”

Lilley has been very vocal on behalf of the foster program and how much she supports helping these children who need someone to love them. She spoke with Soap Hub back in September of 2016 about her desire to be a foster mother.

“While I have no idea how long I’ll have this little man, we’re open to help any child, of any race, boy or girl, 0-10. I will help teens later, but I’m so little and I look so young that I thought I’d get my toes wet first. Plus, at least here in LA, there’s actually more babies in need than teens. It’s heartbreaking.”
