How Can Days of Our Lives (DOOL) Improve?

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) needs to make some moves to get back on the right track.

With a switch at the top – Ron Carlivati has taken over the show’s reins as head writer – changes are currently being made to improve storylines. Viewers are optimistic that there are better “Days” ahead.

And, fortunately, the announcements that Chandler Massey (Will) and Louise Sorel (Vivian) are returning have given fans renewed hope. Soap Hub asked you how DAYS could improve moving forward and you had various answers on the subject.

Stop the Dual Roles
The Hattie/Marlena and Adrienne/Bonnie double trouble twist isn’t resonating with viewers. Some 68% of you want this plot to wrap up sooner rather than later.

You find the whole thing convoluted and hard to follow. You’d rather see Deidre Hall only as Marlena, and Judi Evans only as Adrienne. Those are the two characters you want to root for.

Keep the Dead Buried
Meanwhile, 27% of you don’t want to see any more characters resurrected from the dead. You feel that plot has been overused to the point where you never believe anyone is a goner any more. As a result, murder mysteries have lost their meaning to you, because anyone can be revived at any time.

Bring Back Bo and Sami
The remaining 6% of fans have a few suggestions for improving the soap, although they do include returns from the dead.

Peter Reckell’s resurrection as Bo is tops on your list, followed by Alison Sweeney’s full-time return as Sami. Salem just hasn’t been the same without the two of them. Meanwhile, a few of you simply want Nicole to find happiness by being reunited with her baby daughter, Holly.
