Hot Under the Collar: Do Eric And Jen Actually Work On Days Of Our Lives (DOOL)

It sure took them long enough! On Days Of Our Lives (DOOL), Eric (Greg Vaughan) and Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) have finally made it past the high-drama and silly misunderstanding stage (thanks, Anna!) and have moved on to romantic movies and making out.

But, how do fans feeling about the newest couple? Almost 10,000 Salem soothsayers cast their votes!

Grown Ups
We’re loving it, 83% cheer! It’s a real grown up romance! Sure the kids are cute. But there is just so much of Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) whining and Ciara (Victoria Konefal) pouting, while Tripp (Lucas Adams) looks helplessly from one to the other, you can take.

And it’s great to see Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans), as well as Marlena (Deidre Hall) and John (Drake Hogestyn) together, but their love isn’t new.

Eric and Jen’s is. Fans can watch it evolve and grow, and they can feel a part of it.

Plus, Eric is cute, and the couple is hot. Neither one has had much luck in the love department, and they both deserve a drama-free relationship. That’s not going to happen, of course, but it’ll be fun to hope for a little while.

Age of Discontent
It’s not working for me, a minority 16% confess. Eric is…nice. And Jennifer is…nice. And they both have some demons in their past, which isn’t…nice. But it’s also not very interesting.

Plus, there’s the age thing. You can’t tell by looking at them now, but you’re pretty sure that Jennifer was already a teenager when Eric and Sami (Alison Sweeney) were toddlers. Even if she looks great, she’s a grandmother!

The two are in completely different places in their lives, which means they’re likely to want different things. Like, say, Jen will always want Jack. And are we absolutely sure Eric isn’t over Nicole (Arianne Zucker)?

Wrong time, wrong couple.
