Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) is using Susan’s (Stacy Haiduk) psychic visions – and Shawn’s (Brandon Beemer) police technology – to track down his lost love, while Ciara’s mom, Hope (Kristian Alfonso) is out there… also doing something.

At this point, we expect Ben and Shawn will find Ciara (Victoria Konefal) before Hope does. But should she return to Salem once that happens, anyway? Almost 6,000 viewers shared their thoughts with us:

Homeward Bound

A majority 83% of you don’t see how it would make any sense for Hope to continue to remain out of town once Ciara returns. What would she still be looking for? And how could she possibly stay away from her precious baby girl, brought back from the dead?

Forget about reuniting with Rafe (Galen Gering) or getting a new love interest. That all pales in comparison to Hope having her dreams come true in seeing Ciara again in the flesh. Even if it’s not a long visit, viewers won’t stand for no visit. Sure, you’ve been rooting for a Ben and Ciara reunion, but Ciara’s mom is next on that list. You want to see the look on Hope’s face!

Return Trip

Then again, 17% of the audience is just as fine with Ciara going to visit Hope, and they can have their reunion out of town – and off-camera. There’s really not much for Hope to do in Salem, with or without Ciara, so she might as well stay on her vacation.

The character was kind of floundering her last few months, and you don’t think there’s any point in bringing her back without a major story to sink her teeth into.
